Do I need a gateway or hub?+
No. Dro talks to the free Growbud app over Bluetooth. If your grow scales up, the same sensor also speaks LoRaWAN, so you can add a gateway later without replacing anything.
Is the app really free?+
Yes. Live readings, history and charts work in the free Growbud app on iPhone and Android.
Will it work in my pots?+
Dro works best in potting soil and coco coir in containers. For stone wool or very small containers, choose our Vero sensor instead.
How big is it?+
The body is 4 1/2 in tall, 2 7/8 in wide and 1 in deep, with 7 in needles. The readings come from the last 2 in of the needles.
How long does the battery last?+
The rechargeable 9 V battery runs 3 to 6 months per charge, depending on how often it reports. Solar or DC power is optional.
What if it's not right for me?+
Send it back within 90 days, no questions asked, in its original condition and packaging (shipping is not refundable). Every Dro also carries a 1-year limited warranty against defects.
